Farmhouse Pizza Recipe

Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup canned tomatoes (or 2 fresh tomatoes, pureed)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried basil
- Salt & pepper to taste
For the Toppings:
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
- ½ cup cheddar cheese (optional)
- ½ cup bell peppers (red, green, yellow – sliced)
- ½ cup onions (sliced)
- ½ cup mushrooms (sliced)
- ½ cup sweet corn (boiled)
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp oregano
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, sugar, and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead into a soft dough for 8-10 minutes.
- Cover and let it rest for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Step 2: Make the Pizza Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a pan, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add pureed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Step 3: Assemble the Pizza
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Roll out the dough into a pizza base. Transfer to a baking tray.
- Spread the prepared pizza sauce evenly.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Add bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and corn.
- Sprinkle oregano and chili flakes for extra flavor.
Step 4: Bake the Pizza
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and enjoy your homemade Farmhouse Pizza!
