Farmhouse Pizza

Farmhouse Pizza Recipe 

Servings: 2 Medium Pizzas

Cook Time: 15-20 mins

Ingredients:

For the Dough:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
  • 1 cup canned tomatoes (or 2 fresh tomatoes, pureed)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
For the Toppings:
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup bell peppers (red, green, yellow – sliced)
  • ½ cup onions (sliced)
  • ½ cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • ½ cup sweet corn (boiled)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp oregano

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, sugar, and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead into a soft dough for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Cover and let it rest for 1 hour until it doubles in size.

Step 2: Make the Pizza Sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add pureed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Step 3: Assemble the Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Roll out the dough into a pizza base. Transfer to a baking tray.
  3. Spread the prepared pizza sauce evenly.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  5. Add bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and corn.
  6. Sprinkle oregano and chili flakes for extra flavor.

Step 4: Bake the Pizza

  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven, slice, and enjoy your homemade Farmhouse Pizza!
